Day 12- 5 Amazing Spoken Word Artists

Standard

I always enjoyed a good spoken word but it wasn’t until my senior year in college that I became an even bigger fan of that particular form of poetry.

The poetry group on campus began to introduce quite a few spoken word events and I of course attended each one and needless to say Indianapolis has some talent hidden in it’s depth lol! There were also featured poets from other cities and those were featured on Def Poetry Jam.

I also enjoy going to my cousin’s open mic nights which feature poets, singers and musicians.

Here are my top 5 artists in no particular order of course…

Classy, yet acurate definition of ratchet

So I saw this link from my friend on my timeline on facebook and took some time to read it because it’s a lengthy piece but it holds some valid points which stops and makes you think. Question is do we actually have friends that fit this description? Better yet do some of us females fit this description ourselves and don’t even know it or deny it all together?

Just take a moment to read and educate yourself on the ways of the ratchet so that you can be better aware.
