The Single Woman’s creator Mandy Hale has some of THEE best quotes from her books and from life that inspire me, make me laugh, and shed light on my relationship situations.
I love documentaries that focus on African-Americans especially ones that showcase our achievements and lives. This particular series focused on the birth of hip hop and it’s shaped America’s culture and proven to have a big influence on society.
The 4 part series was very informative and I learned new things about one of the best genres of music, in my opinion. One interesting thing I learned while watching was that a white Jewish Harvard undergrad was the co-founder of The Source, one America’s leading hip hop magazines.
The documentary was full of shocking, informative, and real life facts that will show how much of an impact Hip Hop culture really holds on America.
To pay homage to Valentine’s Day I’m going to post a list of some of the best African-American romance movies.
This list is in no particular order although my favorite movie just happens to be the first one lol! Even if you’ve seen some of the movies on this list it’s always good to watch them again and again never know if you’ll find a new favorite. Enjoy!
